Today is the day of the total solar eclipse and I’m pretty excited! I’m not excited because I’ve never experienced one before. I have because I was alive and well 38 years ago. And hopefully I’ll be alive and well in 2024 to see the next one. That will make at least 3 total solar eclipses (with totality over North America) in my lifetime. Pretty dope, huh?
But what makes this eclipse extra special for me is that it’s happening while the Sun is in LEO, my sign. It’s also a Leo new moon, the second consecutive one, which is also rare. According to all the astrologers and seers, this is supposed to be a truly special time for me, and I can feel it! I’ve experienced lots of change and lots of revelation, and not all of them were good. I even suffered a motorcycle burn on my leg and got stung by a bee (I”m allergic) during this cycle. Had some crazy financial issues. Lost a few friends and watched others suffer. Had my own personal issues.
But none of it is getting me down.
I’m practicing my yoga and meditation and remembering to breathe. And things are steadily moving forward! I’m getting responses in my job search (because a sister has to fund her entrepreneurial efforts and prepare for her kid to go to college in 2019, PLUS survive his uber-expensive private school, to which $15K in scholarships still doesn’t cover everything!!). I feel stronger emotionally, especially in regards to what behaviors in others I’ll put up with. And I feel confident in my abilities and in my future.
I just ended a 9 year cycle when I turned *gasp* 45 on August 16th. I can really feel the completion of one phase in my life as I move into another one. And I want to max that energy. Solar eclipses and new moons are excellent times to create magic in your own life, so here are a few things I plan on doing today.
  1. Drinking a big glass of iced matcha and also energizing a batch of that, regular tea and water outside to soak up the eclipses energy. I’ll drink it later.
  2. Eating lots of green things and raw and electric foods.
  3. Taking a spiritual bath. I make my own powders, oils and Florida waters, so I’ll be soaking up a batch of my top secret mojo, but a simple bath that anyone can take is water with salt, vinegar (apple cider or white), baking soda and essential oils. You can use all or one of these items, the important thing is to use your mind properly as you bathe. Manifest good things and focus on them.
  4. Working on a solar eclipse vision board.
  5. Goal setting.
  6. Yoga, prayer and meditation.
  7. Work!!
