I’m tinkering with the site design in order to make things more organized and bring you more of the content that you want, like my writing tips and Meta-vations, along with video tutorials and the like.
Be patient. This shouldn’t take very long at all. All my content is still available, and by all means, if you have any input or experience any bugs, drop me a line!
Peace & Positive Vibes,
I am all about trying to create some better habits…like breakfast! I know it’s supposed to be the most important meal of the day, but I’ve never been a big breakfast eater. I don’t really care for traditional breakfast food, mainly because it is too sweet and too heavy for my liking. (Yet, I’m not opposed to scarfing down a burger or leftover pizza.) As a result, I’m one of those horrible people who either forgets to eat completely and looks up and it’s four o’clock (trust me, this isn’t a good thing!) or I swing all the way around in the other direction and I eat everything wrong all day. I’m a Chicago/Philly girl to the bone! I love my pizza and cheesesteaks! But I know better. Not eating and eating the wrong things wreaks havoc on one’s blood sugar and that can create all kinds of problems from fatigue to diabetes. And I’m not getting any younger and need to take better care of myself.
So, today, I made an effort to #dobetter. I decided to eat breakfast, the kind of breakfast that gives me a better, healthier energy than the one I had yesterday (breakfast burritos with lots of hot sauce and jalepenos). I told you, I’m a woman of extremes! I had green tea with raw organic honey and fresh organic mint sprigs from my garden to kick off my digestion plus another glass of lemon water and a bowl of watermelon (seeded) and sliced strawberries and tossed with more fresh mint. Can I just tell you? The results were amazing. I could feel my body hydrating and charging up. However, I’m still really hungry, and I am definitely at a loss for healthy breakfast ideas! As yummy as this was, I can’t eat it every day. Someone help a sister out! Do you eat healthy plant-based breakfasts? Can you recommend a few meals for me? Preferably low/no dairy, absolutely no pork, low/no meat. I’ll definitely be trying the best ones, and I promise to keep you up to date on my latest self-challenge, eating healthy in the morning!
